It’s freezing but I will still enjoy my coffee by the lake!

I’m a bilingual (English and Arabic) UX designer and researcher in EdTech, with a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Information Systems and over six years of experience in education.
As a former ESL and ICT teacher, I loved finding creative ways to engage students and make lessons fun, meaningful, and relevant. The highlight of my day was seeing students excited about learning and exploring books across different genres.
“While I cherished my time in the classroom, I’m now focused on creating learning experiences that empower diverse groups of learners to succeed.”
Having lived in different parts of the world and now calling Canada home, I’ve always been fascinated by people’s stories, motivations, and how they interact with digital media. This curiosity inspired my transition into UX.
My teaching background helps me deeply understand users, approach problems with empathy, and conduct thorough research to uncover diverse perspectives. I’m passionate about problem-solving and clear communication, always striving to create impactful, inclusive designs.
In my spare time, I ignite my creativity by indulging in painting and experimenting with various calligraphy styles on canvas.
I also have a passion for watching home DIY videos, dreaming of the day when I can design and construct my ideal family kitchen.
I love baking, and I love sharing this hobby with my children.
At one point, more than 10 years ago, I started a cake business called Nur’s Cupcakery. My specialty was a unique creation—a cupcake bouquet. I believe I was the first to craft and sell this innovative product in our community. It debuted on Mother’s Day and was an immediate success!
